Places to Eat in Eureka Springs: Fresh-Cooked Favorites at McGarity’s
Finding places to eat in Eureka Springs can take some thought. One guest may want seafood. Another may want a burger, salad, or large comfort-food plate. Families may need a children’s menu. McGarity’s Restaurant & Irish Pub brings those needs together at one locally owned restaurant. We are at 2070 E. Van Buren on Route 62 East, with fresh cooking, broad choice, and warm Ozark service.
One of the Most Flexible Places to Eat in Eureka Springs
McGarity’s is built around the meal. The kitchen serves American favorites and Irish-inspired food. The same menu also has seafood, steak, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pasta. Separate vegan and vegetarian choices add more range. A dedicated children’s menu helps families order from one kitchen.
This variety matters when a group has different tastes. One guest can choose fish while another orders a Reuben. Someone else can pick a salad, pasta, or vegan meal. The whole table can stay together without giving up the type of food each person wants.
Fresh Cooking and Generous Portions
Every dish at McGarity’s is cooked fresh and to order. Grilled, seared, baked, and breaded food needs time. House-made sauces, dressings, mash, and cheese grits also take care. Guests should expect a relaxed full-service meal, not a fast-food pace.
Portions are generous. A large plate can fuel the rest of an Ozarks day. Shared starters can help a group try more of the menu. The goal is simple: serve food with care and make sure guests leave well fed.
Comfort Food and Irish-Inspired Favorites
Guests who want comfort food have many choices. Shepherd’s or Cottage Pie blends beef, lamb, carrots, corn, sweet peas, and green beans. It is topped with house-made mash, potatoes, and Parmigiano Reggiano. Bangers & Mash pairs large Irish sausages with mashed potatoes and grilled cabbage.
Chicken-Fried Steak starts with a huge 16-ounce beef steak. The kitchen breads and cooks it to order. House-made mashed potatoes, country gravy, and two signature sides come with the plate. The Pork Chop is a 16-ounce, double-bone French-cut chop with mash, gravy, and braised carrots.
Sandwich fans can choose McGarity’s Reuben, the Steakhouse Burger, or the Chicken Sandwich. Starters such as Irish Reuben Egg Rolls, Irish Nachos, wings, and pretzels with Irish pub cheese are easy to share.
Seafood for Lunch or Dinner
Seafood is a major part of the menu. White Wine Salmon has a house-made creamy white wine and dill sauce. Blackened Redfish comes with house-made garlic shrimp sauce. Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna is served with house-made wasabi and sweet and spicy plum sauce.
Other choices include Garlic Shrimp Pasta, Shrimp Creole & Grits, Guinness Fish, Shrimp & Chips, and grilled real-crab cakes. The crab cake plate has two grilled cakes made with real crab meat. It comes with house-made cocktail sauce and two sides.
Read our seafood guide for more detail. The photo album shows many plates as guests receive them.
Choices for Families and Mixed Groups
Fresh salads can make a lighter meal. Guests may add grilled chicken, salmon, ahi tuna, or jumbo shrimp. Vegan choices include the Dublin Black Bean Burger, Limerick Vegan French Dip, Killarney Garden Pesto Pasta, and Belfast BBQ Jackfruit Bun.
Vegetarian choices include the Kerry Black Bean Garden Salad, Donegal Garden Wrap, Galway Jackfruit Mac-N-Cheese, and Cork Curry Jackfruit Chips. Some dishes include fried sides made in shared oil. Ask your server if you prefer to remove that fried item.
The children’s menu gives younger guests paid meal choices. Children age five and under also eat free when dining in. Ask your server about the current terms. This policy is for dine-in visits.
Shared-Kitchen and Allergy Information
Tell your server about every allergy or food need before ordering. The team can check current ingredients and speak with the kitchen. Tools, work areas, and fryers are shared. Cross-contact is possible. No dish can be called allergen-free, and restaurant staff make the final call about what can be prepared.
Fried items use a canola and soybean oil blend. Other dishes are made without seed oils. Ask before the order is sent if oil or fryer use matters to you. A past meal should still be checked again because products and prep can change.
